Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Clocks
Vigilant brand 24IP Series PoE Clocks plug directly into standard Ethernet jacks to provide network-wide synchronized time. Power-over-Ethernet technology allows these clocks to draw both time updates and power from standard network cables. This eliminates the need for a separate power source at each mounting site. Time is automatically set by a time server via Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP). No master clock or serial connection is required. 24IP Clocks are configurable by means of a standard Telnet session, which configures the SNTP server address, time zone and daylight saving time options, display format (12- or 24-hour), and clock status reporting. Both digital and analog models are available. Digital clocks have four- or six-digit LED displays and are visible from 150 feet (50 meters). Analog clocks are visible from 100 feet (30 meters). |
